On December 10, 2024, we marked Human Rights Day with a powerful advocacy campaign addressing pressing concerns about legislative threats to fundamental freedoms in Turkey. Our initiative centered on launching a joint open letter to the European Commission, highlighting serious concerns about the proposed “agent of influence” bill under consideration by the Turkish Parliament. The campaign also featured a compelling illustration. Through this coordinated effort, we aimed to raise awareness about the critical importance of protecting fundamental rights and preventing the implementation of laws that could further restrict civic space in Turkey.
