On September 28, we marked Right to Know Day with a comprehensive campaign highlighting freedom of information (FOI) practices in Turkey. Our initiative centered on launching an in-depth report analyzing FOI requests made by journalists and civil society organizations, examining their outcomes and implementation challenges. The campaign featured engaging visual elements, including custom illustrations and an informative factsheet presenting key findings from our survey of journalists and activists regarding their FOI request experiences and practices. Through this multi-faceted approach, we aimed to raise awareness about the critical importance of information access rights and transparency in Turkish democracy.
